We have recently returned from Toronto having competed in the 2019 Flying Angles International Age-Classic Track & Field Championships. The Pacers team comprised of 20 female athletes and 11 male athletes between the ages of 8 and 15, with 19 of our athlete representing the club overseas for the first time. The 31-member team earned 18 medals, including three gold, nine silver and six bronze, and also achieved a number of personal best performances at the two-day meet held at the York University Track and Field Centre.

Daylen Scott (11-12 boys long jump), Denver Tucker (13-14 boys high jump) and Legend Robinson (8 and under boys 400 metres) all secured gold medals.

Tucker (13-14 boys long jump) and Legend Robinson (8 and under boys 400 and 800 metres) were also among those earning silver medals which also included Ellise Dickinson (11-12 girls high jump and 400 metres), Nevaeh Barclay (11-12 girls long jump), J’auza James (13-14 boys high jump), Raina Robinson (8 and under girls 400 and 800 metres) and the 9-10 girls 4X100 metre relay team.

J’auza James (13-14 boys long jump and 1,500 metres) was also among those earning bronze medals along with Kruz Iris (9-10 boys 100 and 200 metres), Miyare Trott (9-10 girls high jump) and Century Robinson (11-12 girls high jump).

It was a fantastic weekend with athletes, parents and coaches all noting their excitement.
